What is aloe vera good for

Aloe Vera has been used for thousands of years to treat many health conditions. It’s a plant that can be used in many different forms from juice, capsules or the gel straight from the plant. The amazing thing about it is that it can be applied straight to your skin, hair or can be drunk.

There are so many benefits which I am going to touch on a few of them below.

1. Great for Sunburn

You may see Aloe Vera after sun in the shops, this is because the natural gel has cooling properties which can help soothe the effects of sunburnt skin. Aloe Vera is filled with minerals which also can speed up the healing process.

2. Heartburn Relief

Aloe Vera can help reduce the symptoms of heartburn which is caused by Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Studies showed drinking up to 3 ounces of gel with meals can reduce the effects of GERD.

3. Skin Care

There are lots of skincare products out there that contain the amazing plant this is due to its hydrating properties. If you suffer from dry skin adding this to your beauty regime could see some amazing benefits.

4. Detox

Not only can you apply it straight to your skin you can also drink it. As it’s packed with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants it has some great benefits. It helps with digestion and detoxifies your body.

5. Hair Care

Aloe Vera is super hydrating and contains great vitamins and minerals which are needed for your hair. Not only that but using an Aloe Vera hair mask can reduce dandruff and give your scalp and hair the nourishment it needs.
