Is Curcumin an Anti-Ageing Miracle?

Is Curcumin an Anti-Ageing Miracle?

Is Curcumin an Anti-Ageing Miracle? Free radical damage is one of the major causes of skin ageing, including wrinkles. Curcumin contains antioxidants that help fight free radicals.

Anti-inflammatory

Curcumin is known for its anti-inflammatory properties. Inflammation causes many skin conditions from psoriasis to acne. These can cause irritation, redness and swelling. Taking a supplement of curcumin can help reduce these symptoms.

Collagen Production

Along with skin healing properties, curcumin has also been found to help increase the collagen deposits in the skin. Collagen is a protein that helps our skin maintain its firmness and keep a youthful look.

Improve Circulation

Having good blood circulation ensures our skin cells are given the nutrients they need. Curcumin contains curcuminoids, which have been found to have anti-platelet action, which means they can help our blood flow more freely.

With all this in mind, is curcumin an anti-ageing miracle? I think it is definitely a supplement everyone should be taking not only for its anti-ageing properties but for its health benefits. In fact, some of the research I’ve done myself on curcumin is pretty mind-blowing.

Unfortunately just adding curcumin spice to your food is not going to help you reach the levels your body needs. This is why many people choose to use supplements.

Choosing the right supplement can be difficult especially as curcumin is not easily absorbed. When doing my research I came across 111direct Curcumin, this stood out to me because they use Li-cap and micronisation technology which means the extraction has already taken place. So, there is no need to add black pepper to achieve maximum absorption by the body.
