Homemade Body Scrub

How to make your own body scrub

Making your own homemade body scrub is super easy with no hidden nasties.

Body scrubs are a great addition to your beauty regime. They remove dead skin cells, moisturise your skin and leave your skin looking smooth and soft.

When used regularly they remove dirt from your pores and can prevent ingrown hairs and bumps from shaving.

You should try and use a body scrub twice a week as you don’t want to over-exfoliate which can leave your skin dry and sensitive.

Himalayan Pink Salt Scrub

I like to keep my homemade scrubs in glass jars so I can reuse them.

  • 12g Coconut Oil
  • 7 Drops Essential Oil

In a bowl pour salt then add coconut oil and essential oil of your choice. Stir until well combined. Pour into your container.

Coffee grounds are a popular ingredient for scrubs as it is gentle on the skin.

Ingredients

  • 65g Coffee Grounds
  • 120g Brown Sugar
  • 120g Melted Coconut Oil
  • 7 Drops Essential Oil

Grind your coffee then pour into a bowl with the sugar. Add the coconut oil and 7 drops essential oil of your choice and mix well. Scoop into your container.

Honey Scrub

Honey is known for its antibacterial properties which is why it makes a great scrub.

Ingredients

  • 65g Brown Sugar
  • 3 Tbsp Honey
  • 32g Coconut Oil

Add all ingredients into a bowl and mix well. If scrub is too crumbly you can add more coconut oil. Then pour into your container.

These are my favourite homemade scrub which I use all the time. They are great for exfoliating and cleansing my skin. Not only that they can make great gifts for birthdays or Christmas.
